Nathanzx10r
Hello everyone, I am new to the forum but not new to wearing armor. Used to be a 501st member back in early 2000's. My old number was TK-154 if that give it a time reference LOL. I haven't worn armor in about 20 years or so. I'm currently looking to complete a Scout Trooper and get back into after my 2 decade break. I'm sure this has been spotted already, but I was researching the different armor for what will fit my larger build (6'2" 235) to make sure uniformity is the same. I was watching a video of the "go for help" scene from ROTJ and I spotted this and wasn't sure if it had been addressed already. I haven't seen any posts here or it hasn't come up on internet searches. It's a very quick scene and could easily be overlooked but not from you guys for sure. Anyway..... Hello everyone!
MrPoopie
Good eye. It has been noted in the past. We acknowledge that some shots are flipped for the purpose of filming and storytelling and just handle it as that. For the sake of uniformity we only use the non-flipped Biker Scout. It always good to have folks willing to search for the little details.

spike
Vader's mask and Imperial rank bars are another good example

Yeah as others have noted there are flipped shots all over ROTJ, causing us no end of headaches LOL This scout in particular has the stunt armor and helmet, which also looks different than the standard Scout.

I'm sure someone makes a little bigger TK armor now though for us large framed troopers.

I am pretty OCD about uniformity and appearance, years in the Army will do that to you LOL. I did my research and saw that the height listed for a TB was 6', so being 6'2" would be a close match. My main concern is being so broad shouldered, I don't want too much black space between my hard armor pieces. I'm sure I am way over thinking it, but that's just the way I am LOL. Not to mention being middle aged, my middle section isn't aging well LOL. Don't want too much sticking our past my chest armor if you know what I mean. I will add a picture of me standing next to my father for reference.
Nathanzx10r
You can see the difference in our shoulders, just as reference.
Aradun
Dude, you can definitely do a Scout! We have Scouts taller than you so your height is definitely good. Midsection and shoulder concerns - no problem. There’s some vendors that make larger scaled armor so it should fit you fine proportionally. I think WTF’s Armor is a bit larger scale. You can check out the armor comparison thread to get a sense of size and fit. You’ll see a couple of broad shouldered scouts in the reference photos too. http://forum.501stpathfinders.com/index.php?/topic/17774-the-ultimate-armor-comparison-thread/I’m sure others here will pop in with suggestions as well.
Chopper
Check with @spike on these forums. He makes the "Altmann" armor, which is well suited for larger folks. WTF runs larger as well, but unless you're planning on doing a Mandalorian Scout (CRL forthcoming), I'd say that the Altmann armor is the more accurate of the two for a ROTJ scout. Yeah, I have been talking to Spike. Very knowledgeable and helpful. I actually owned one of his 1 of 500's back in 2003ish.

Oh I know I could do it.... My concern is trooping with other TB's and having my armor seem "off" lol. I know it all will scale out when I wear it, but if I am standing next to another TB wearing, lets say SC, the looks would be massive IMHO. But like I said, it may just be me over thinking it.... Happens on everything I do.
