I just purchased some yesterday. They look great, all of my concerns so far have been allayed.

The original colour of the soles looked way too dark, but that was the prototype.

I have short legs and chunky calves, after the purchase they sent you a request for measurements which seem really thorough.

I have a great holster on my current boots and didn't want to remove it. They say they have worked with the detachment on the project and will include a new holster.

I noticed the prototypes didn't include the tabs at the top of the boot to open the velcro, but neither is that on the CRL. The detachment had mentioned this, and it will be included.

I know they cost a lot, and would have preferred to purchase them after seeing them in the flesh - but the soles look too good for me to pass up. I'm optimistic and can't wait for them to arrive ... I haven't asked for an ETA. I would expect a delay.

My plan is to apply for Lancer status, I'm hoping these boots will be the icing on the cake :)

They're a recent addition and the first batch are currently in production. There's no in-hand reviews of the boots yet, so if you have concerns about plunking down that much cash, I'd hold off on purchasing them until we get some feedback from the troops.

Yup, the soles looks good from their web-store. So, maybe if your boots from them are arrived please let me know.

Thanks and Stay Healthy

I am going for my first ever build and approval, and decided to give them a try.  I'll be happy to review them when they come in.  Gio has an excellent reputation within the 501st community (from what I've seen) and I have no doubt they will be up to snuff.  Enough faith to drop the money anyways.  As the Wise Zen Master says, "We will see..."

I'm considering them too. Is it known if they are a stand alone boot or if they are white leather glued on to a donor boot like the screen accurate ones? I'd like a screen accurate for approval but also a non home made version for fear free trooping.

What does extinted mean?

They do look good! $220 for the boots and a set of gloves is a decent price point given that a pair of Wampa’s would set you back $60 and boots average $150 or more.

Gio’s site does state that the price is an intro price and that it will go up, so if you’re on the fence or waiting for feedback from other Pathfinders keep that in mind.

Cool. I figured it was an honest "approved" stamp since they are on the approved vendor list.

I just figured whoever worked with them might jump in at any moment and tell us how awesome they are :P  And since there aren't many pictures of the gloves or sold separately. I'd jump on it now if I knew they weren't white leather glued on work boots.

None of us has had them hands on yet.  We've only looked at in progress pics.  He would send us pics, we would say "change this, change that."  Then the cycle would repeat until we were all happy.

I stopped short of an outright endorsement however, because we don't endorse any particular maker's props.  We stay neutral and try to help everyone get passed with the stuff they have.

As for the construction, these are covers over top of boots.  Gio understands that you can't make them look like screen used if it's one solid boot.  But he's done it a bit different.
