Phil, I’ve read your whole build thread. Props to you for your persistence. I hope your family is managing well.

I’ll be following for updates. Having last finished a Boba Fett, I can understand just how frustrating the minute details are. Measurements, colors, textures, stitching, etc. 😖 Intriguing but frustrating nevertheless.

All I’ll say is that trooping has been worth it, tenfold. And the detachments and local members have been indispensable in helping me get there— even if they might identify the occasional headache whilst building.

That said, keep at it! Best wishes to you on your build.

Hi all, just uploading a few shots of parts completed, Biceps are done, I do have the up to date accurate greeblie but if the greeblie I already have on there passes clearance then I'm happy saves me removing the old one and possibly damaging the bicep armour.

Chest and back armour completed, followed Choppers advice regarding shoulder bridges and tank stability, hence the 2 small slits in the back armour, 62026127039954fcc766edbdddf7f1a3.jpg87c678723fc3a03a16825aeec966747c.jpg952e3e411ed779a19eb2715e073b2341.jpge9a00096cc2c1ea86d631ed479f78ab4.jpg0f5a8dc34e6259577389809fd2a3ba3b.jpg873df974fd41528ee883ae8e313710cc.jpg

Nice Phil! You have been busy. I’m looking forward to seeing photos of your first fitting. You’re gonna be stoked when you see yourself in full regalia. Can’t wait!

Tank decals applied and fitted, shot of inside of back armour so you can see how I attached velcro tabs for stability, im aware that the elastic and rivets are incorrect, unfortunately these were fitted before 'rivetgate' so I understand that i won't pass for Lancer until I buy another tank and topper. 3e393068dbf14dfc520ce1c3b880da4a.jpg8ad578e5280f8787881df5510f14d9eb.jpgd85df95a3a56542b9e7e601ae75227a9.jpg0de39d552d63dd26e9d816ceaffed420.jpg

Boots have been done a while and were soul destroying especially after having to remove the holster, fix the vinyl (as best I could) then reapply and be told rivets were wrong size, so top rivets are incorrect for Lancer but bottom two are correct, 2 out of 4 isn't bad right? Also note on the inside of boot holster I have attached elastic to secure round the leg and avoid boot droop, ive also glued a rare earth magnet to secure the pistol to the holster.e45964d30ccc11d7e51856bf76d956cd.jpg88ad17e9e668e8e7607460b2e87ce14f.jpg38f35c5beb07db353f7538b456d712ab.jpg3fd454da9895ea264db5b83c16ebbe86.jpgbf78a637d9c18b925ec18da7f54043b2.jpg5286be24506586d525c70287f0fe4493.jpg

So I finished the knees this morning, Velcro finally sewn on and finished, have taken pictures of measurements of elastic as well, As you will be aware the rivets were put in before the CRL changed to have 1/8th requirement so won't pass for Lancer but hopefully will for Basicd9d6639610bdc856bb8296b81f4d413d.jpgbdffb2ddce7b7683871e91a5272f1575.jpg917c89d314e091ab821d8a00c955e038.jpgb95de5d49d15a0d56fdbe66c1407b9af.jpg0b9ee4fb1926b8298b2a7ebedb89d73b.jpg

Ok test fitting with little help from my son who has autism and isn't a star wars fan, he didn't know which bits went where bless him, shoulders still weren't fully attached will be sorting that tonight, im still not happy with it though as think lots need doing to finish it, cod feels too wide and short as its pulling under the crotchc1229ceacd0f4243d9b0bd38aed6e983.jpgdb76be4b6a26d79bc45b70cc0547b57c.jpg33be4b924b7a6ded1b133f8bb76915ae.jpg7d55f4ada7c1cd7d4db6dd3a54197191.jpg

The cod does look to big. Ideally it should just lay on the front of your body and only the strap should go between your legs.

Bring the shoulders up, rotate the biceps so that the t-bt is to the side and then the armor pieces will look pretty good.
