Just picked up a finished 3D printed helmet and it really squashes my nose. Does anybody else have this issue and how did you resolve it? I want to get the full kit but if I can’t wear the helmet comfortably, it will just go in my collection.

TIA

Do you mean that the helmet or lens rests on your nose? If so, that's pretty common. Some folks will use foam to wedge their forehead to prevent the bucket from tilting down and hitting their nose. I couldn't get that technique to work so I put foam right under the lens and it presses on the tops of my cheeks. It's a tight fit and fits only me but it works great.

I used motorcycle helmet pads that attach via velcro so I can reposition often to find the sweet spot.

I thought of cheek pads to relieve pressure on the nose. Do you have a picture of your setup?

Is it possible to cut a small relief in the lens? The pads help but I just need a quarter of an inch less lens.

Maybe. Make a paper template and see if you have the room. I have a BSP v2 helmet.

Wow Melody that’s a cool rig...literally and figuratively. Those have gotta be toasty buckets to wear! Nice work!
Thanks. It's not that bad. I have a cooling fan by my eyes to cut the fog and an exhaust fan by my mouth. I sometimes turn them off when I'm outside.
