Order 66 ROTJ Scout Trooper CRL Video

Hey Pathfinders!

For 6.6.2020 (Order 66 Day), the Legion asked if I would do a walkthrough the main Scout Trooper CRL.  This isn't the most polished production, but I post it here to the extent it helps any new builders out there.

This is amazing! Can we do this for all our costumes? This would be awesome for the Shoretrooper as there are so many little details to that armor! Thank you for taking the time to do this Mickey!

I was going to do the Shoretrooper Captain as well, but I am still fixing some things up on mine so it wasn't ready to go.  I definitely want to do some more of these walkthrough videos, but they do take time.  This was pretty much my whole day from shooting to editing!

RE: Flak Vest & Cod Piece
“We can’t all roll screen accurate.”

And then later in regard to the Cod Piece
“Ballers connect it to the vest.”

My favorite though was the CB.
“Shouldn’t be a tortilla that wraps around your entire body.”

I chuckled at that one because I know that’s a big pet peeve for you.

This will make a great resource. I’ve already bookmarked it and saved it to my scout reference material.

@AradunFF I had to leave a lot of jokes on the cutting room floor.  I tried to make this as lean and mean as I could!  Cut down about 2 hours to 20 minutes.

As others have stated this will be a great reference for current and future Scout Troopers. Thanks for putting this together.

LOL probably!  I messed up a whole lot of times.  I didn't work from a script... other than the CRL print out.

I hear ya. Videos take a lot more time than people think, especially when you're doing everything. Either way, ya made it look great!

Yeah I'd say 9-10 hours went into this.  But I learned a lot and refined the process so I could probably cut that time in half for new videos.

Video work is grueling when it comes to shooting and editing. “New videos?” I like the sound of that! Here’s hoping there’s a couple more in the near future.

I have a few in mind that perhaps I’ll run by you and tackle myself once I get my Scout approved.
