Hello Scouts. I have a question on the shoulder bells.

-I read the “Lancer Build Tutorial” and it says, “I glue in another zip tie anchor in the shoulder bell and pull a (detachable) zip tie through both anchors so that they form a loop.” There is a comparison photo from the movie that shows the appearance that there are two ties (screen accurate), or one that is looped to give the appearance of two.

-Now reading “Ziptied Shoulder Bells: A tutorial”, it clearly shows one zip tie. (no loop)

-The CRL says “Shoulder bells have appearance of being affixed to shoulder joins using black zip ties.

In order to be screen accurate, are we supposed to have the appearance of one or two zip ties on each shoulder bell?

Thanks in advance

Got bet to it. I used a longer tie and doubled it up,but as stated it can be one.

Thank you Mickey and Tim for the info.

Another question, if I wanted to look more like the photo from the movie that was shared in the "Lancer Build Tutorial", would it be, not accepted or incorrect for lancer, if I was to just attach TWO separate  zip ties on each shoulder bell?

The only part of the ziptie that can be seen is the part in between the shoulder bridge and the shoulder bell.   That's all we care about.  How it's setup on the parts we can't see is not part of the judging process.
