Pledford
Ok guys, I think I might be ready to submit for approval. I am already a legion member as TK but this I am more worried about.Anyway, my 10 yr old daughter took these pics so not the best quality. Any I welcome thoughts and suggestions. I know it's not perfect and FAR from Lancer but would like basic approval.....be gentle lol Sent from my LM-V450 using Tapatalk
hokie1
Great job! The vest sleeves look a bit long to me.
Pledford
Great job! The vest sleeves look a bit long to me. Yeah I feel like I need to take them up.But may I ask everyone an honest question? When trooping, how many scouts really wear the flak vest? From my experience it seems like many scouts where the flak vest for approval pictures then never really wear them again in a regular Troop. Am I right or am I wrong?Sent from my LM-V450 using Tapatalk
CRex75
Pledford, Looking pretty good. I believe most of the issues you have are a kitting up issue. Looks like your cod piece got twisted and isn’t sitting right. Forearm armor should sit on top of your gloves. Drop boxes could be a little evened out. Your soft parts look pretty could and tight. Not sure if it’s gonna hold you back from basic but your flak vest looks a little too long on the sleeves. You only want about an inch to come out from under the shoulder bells. You’re pretty darn close. Good job

I have a different Bond and codpiece that's made out of white canvas that actually fits better it's just a little heavier and not as comfortable as the one in the picture.I will work on shortening the sleeves of the flak vest. BikerScout007
Flip the rectangle shaped greeblie on your TD over so the prongs are pointing up. Other than that, good for basic!

See, in the film, the codpiece and the vest are all part of one big garment. The top of the cod is sewn to the bottom of the front of the vest and the black strap connects to the back of the vest. That's how I roll!
CRex75
Yes, I always wear my flak vest for the reason 007 has stated. My cod is attached to the bottom of the vest.

So if I need it to get approved it gets worn every time. Just my thoughts. The armor does look really good though.
