DaVe
Hey Everyone, I need some feed back ASAP. I'm getting ready to go full scale on my undersuit and I need some feedback. I have purchased a brown work jumpsuit / coveralls for about $25. The base color looks good in my opinion and after a few trial & errors, I think I found a technique that will produce the look I am going for. Screen captures / Artist renditions: Close ups of my attempts: Mind you, the flash has changed the appearance slightly, but I think I am getting it close to the movie-screen capture. I think I need more tan sections, but this is more the general idea. These are test patterns on a section that will be covered by armor. I realize that the black is not screen accurate; that was purely a test with a sharpy to see what it would look like. I really could use some feedback and some suggestions if you have any.... Thanks, DaVe
TB-7076
I think it's an interesting attempt . As you say the flash changed the colours I cannot say for sure but I think you should have used a darker almost black grey except for tan for the stripes to match the original. I know the magazine render is different from the screen cap but actually it apears to contain too much yellow and red while the lighting and colours of the screen cap look more natural. Also the stripe pattern seems to me a bit more connected and composed of longer stripes. But in general that's a good direction. What kind of colour and technique are you using? Stencils and can or airbrush?
tk2427
in my opinion the pattern is a dark over a light. the pants look to be the lighter of the 2. since there is more light than dark. then there are dark "ringlike" patterns over the lighter pant.. from what i can tell... thats what i see. i dont think its a camouflage leafy pattern like we are used to seeing in military uniforms.
