Madcowabunga's WIP

Hey Everybody,

I am attempting my first biker scout kit. I have built a few TK's, so I'm not afraid of cutting plastic :)

With that said, this is all new territory for me. I will have a ton of questions as I keep building.

So far, I have rough cut most of my pieces and will work on sanding until my Devcon plastic weld shows up.

My first question is, How much do I trim out the eye area. I cut off the flashing, but it still seems a little uneven. I don't want to trim/sand too much if its supposed to be a little crooked.

My next questions is about the chest armor. I see that people are using nylon strapping. Is there a parts list somewhere? Where I can get the right width and material? Also, how are people attaching the webbing? I used E6000 and snaps for my TKs on pretty much the whole build. I'd like to use what everybody is using on this one.

Thanks for your help!

Tom

As close as you can get it to the original one. Here a shot for reference of the lens. Most of us use cotton strapping. It's what was used on the screen used suits. Stickey back Velcro for attaching strapping where needed. As for strapping size the follow the crl here https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TB_Scout_trooper

Hey Guys, I have another question for you. Is there an acceptable amount of ridge in the top of the helmet? I have been sanding and sanding and I fear I'm going to sand through the helmet. I'll keep going if I need to, but I don't want to do more than is needed if this is acceptable as is.

Thanks for your help
