Hey all,

How do people go about attaching hardhat headbands into their helmets? Anyone got any pictures of their helmets they would like to share? I got a helmet, I got a headband, but I have no idea what to do next.

Couldn't say. 2nd hand helmet, that was mostly done except for the padding and stuff inside. I was told it was a 3D printed helmet, though.

My liner is held in place by rivets. I've seen troopers use glue. You could glue the top of the head band and maybe the sides. I wouldn't want to try and use rivets on a printed helmet. This is the only picture I have on my phone at the moment.

Do you have the 3M headband or did you cut one out of a hard hat liner?

If you're going to glue it successfully, a lot is going to depend on how much contact there is between the inside of the helmet and the headband.

Do you have any photos you can show us?

The headband I have looks nothing like the one pictured above. I took it out of a hard hat that I found at Home Depot. after fiddling around with it a bit last night, I realized that the headband I have is complete garbage. I think I'll just buy one from the vendor selling them. It's a bit more pricey than the hard hat I got, but it should work.

That picture will help a lot. I never even thought to rivet it, and looking at the helmet and your picture, I can see where the rivets can go. Thanks for the help!

Those cheap thin liners are a nightmare in a helmet. I'd go with one like I have or one that's super close.

Yeah, It was beginning to become a nightmare trying to get it in. I should have paid a little more attention when I bought that helmet. I will definitely get one that's close to what you are using.
