JBar Posted April 6, 2020 Posted April 6, 2020 After a two year hiatus, I'm finally back and excited to troop again. I'm going through and upgrading my scout build. I have only trooped 3 times but in that time my home made biker boots have completely fallen apart. I was wondering how durable Imperial Boots are. I know they aren't "lancer" accurate but that doesn't bother me. What I'm looking for is something that will hold together for as long as possible.
Stroker Posted April 6, 2020 Posted April 6, 2020 I cant speak for the durability myself, but I know theres a few scout around here that own a pair. Maybe one of them will drop in.
Chopper Posted April 6, 2020 Posted April 6, 2020 There was this review, though keep in mind this is the old design. http://forum.501stpathfinders.com/index.php?/topic/21301-ib-imperial-boots-biker-scout-boots-one-year-use-40-troops/&tab=comments#comment-194969 I believe they've since updated the closure in the back, so that it's sewn into the sole of the heel. That may make the updated boots more durable than in the example above. 1

CatfoodRob Posted April 7, 2020 Posted April 7, 2020 I've owned a pair for over a year , despite making my own boots from covered work boots, for trooping I always wear my imperials as they are comfortable and well fitting to my feet . I've had no issues with durability after a couple of dozen outings . Just my personal, observations . 1
