TK-22710 going TB!

Recommended Posts

Hello folks! I have been am approved TK since 2016 and now I am ready to start a new build. Looking forward to being able to sit, have some mobility, take a knee when taking photos with kids. I have been working on soft parts and a 3D printed blaster.

Went with the white canvas bun and pouches since I already had some material on hand. May make new bun and cod later if going for Lancer later.

My SC armor should arrive in the next few days.

More to come later!!!206d6c93f090017c69be08d3fe554efa.jpg5b4f027677d26321754b89d1aa5ac65a.jpga45fcb71d9cf9251ab621ab0c7f49fe6.jpgcbae2752184e35e0bda5596b6be4c1ac.jpg

Looking good, where did you get your scout gloves from?

I actually bought them from a fellow Garrison member who bought new gloves and wanted to get rid of these. They have a little wear to them but that's totally fine with me since I plan to weather my TB anyway.

I do!
However I'm having trouble finding a good build thread for the helmet. It's a SC and all I see is pandas which doesn't have a helmet build

For the most part, you can use the Kropserkel helmet build video here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_iIJxZhyfak

The assembly process is essentially identical between the two helmets.

The only caveats I would add is to actually glue the parts of the helmet together avoid the 3M tape. Also, I would use actual rotator bolts on the visor hinge, instead of rivets as well.

Otherwise, mostly the same. Take a look and let us know if you have further questions!

Well, I have spent some time letting everything sinkn in, looking over parts. I am doing my helmet last. Thinking back on.mt TK build I decided to start small, and build confidence first. So I though I would find one easy task and start with it. So, I set brushed the greeblies for the biceps and tank topper, then glued them in with e6000. I'm choosing to do pretty much everything and e6000 just due to the fact that I have learned from my TK that any mistake can be fixed when it is glued with that stuff.909c26ae9d04876f0d730f761cd663d4.jpgc2464d6f350fba6d7a6f5bb58c8314f1.jpg7fc48b27754ffc36e6420d4a5bc3bfc3.jpg

Good idea using the glue that wont let you down.

Though keep an eye on that spillage with the glue.

Yep. E6000 is very messy!!! But the good thing is that even after it dries, you can peel off any spillage.

Making progress. I know there are a lot of issues with this so far, and I will fix them. Today was really just a test fit in some parts to see how it feels. Legs in the 3rd photo were way too baggy. I turned them inside out and took them up. This pic is for the boots. Thoughts????49c7c98d980f536df678a8747f5db2fb.jpg92a313fb6094965f00ae245b43a60d40.jpga340bd177666ce36664ca6c73dc6519f.jpg

The armor is a great fit! The pouches are to long and a little wide and it's kinda throwing the rest off. Mostly the belt position. Also the cod piece is a little wide on you. Other than that it looks great.

Ok so made a few adjustments, but....will need more of course. Working on making the pouches smaller. Trying to get 6x5x2. Right this they are 6x6x2. Still working.
Still need to attach my holster and finish my TD.
Question: Do my boots look too tall? Should I take them down about an inch?
No padding for my helmet yet but they should arrive soon.
Anything else you see that needs attention?
Going for basic approval for now.1300c86ce81f1adea9346920f8890c8a.jpg4d401fe5a900fa67ac856c9adc6db1cf.jpgd025d74a87a0363c57632891777a4e95.jpg

Looking good! Can your knees come up anymore? If not you dont need a inch half. A half would work.

The pouches. Pouches sit approximately 1 inch from the outermost cummerbund rib on each side.

Drop boxes need to centered and leveled out.

Left shoulder bell needs to come in closer to the bridge and match the right bell.
