I decided to just make this first post a running picture status post. I'll be adding each piece here as I get done. WIP pics will continue as replies per normal.

Looks great just keep going, if you have any questions whatsoever ask, we will be happy to help.

It is starting to look like I will need to make my own 1/2 inch elastic. Nowhere has it in stock and no delivery via Amazon until around May? It's a good thing I have steady scissor hands.

You might want to post a request in the trade portion of the forum.

I imagine quite a few scouts have extra elastic lying around from their builds.

Great find. I didn't even consider Hobby Lobby since they all closed down around here for the shelter in place. Ordered some, so hopefully it'll show up in a week or less. (What's another week after waiting 4.5 years? 😂)

Ordered me an Altmann from spike this evening. KS to the trash box!

Shoulders: Rounded Bottom Corners

Simple use of scissors and some sanding to round off the pointed corners of the pre-trimmed SC bells.

Waiting on everything the cure up on those boots to touch up and add the dog bones.

Definitely going to be procrastinating the sole carving...

Those soles will have to be painted if your going for Lancer.

Unfortunately, I am... I'll be seeking paint advice after I get them carved out. I opted for an easy carve sole vs something already correct solid color.

It's nothing to paint them. Just make sure you sand the soles a little and use some alcohol to clean them then paint.  I used a airbrush on my first pair. They came out great and I never had to touch the soles up. I've seen people use a brush as well and it looks just as good.

Don’t procrastinate. It not as hard as you might think. I just carved mine two weeks ago. Piece of cake. Just make sure you have an x-acto with a chisel blade. I think I used a 3/8” blade.

I will be picking up or ordering some of the xacto chisel blades! Someone mentioned that to me on a Facebook group.

Big question being, how are these shoulder bridges?

Can't see the images, chief. Are hosting them on an image hosting website?

They're inserted from a Facebook album. Interesting that they don't show up. I had no idea.

I'll try throwing everything on dropbox here shortly. All the images show up in the thread when I look through, so I just assumed they showed up for everyone.

Probably your local browser cache, but yeah, dropbox should work.

Let's try this:
