Kegluneq"s Armor WIP

Thus begins the start of my armor build with full intention of going Lancer, eventually.

I am starting with the knee armor so that I can then get the accurate measurements for my suede riding patches.  These are some pics of the knee armor, rough cut and sanded. I'm looking at some more refinement but I am looking for any advice, pointers, or information at all. Thanks in advance!

Got my forearm armor coming along. I just have one question before getting the elastic and greeblies on.  What do you guys say is the best way to get rid of the "wings" on the sides? Do i just cut them off ans sand down the edge or use a heat gun to bend them down?  Thanks in advance!

Would it be best to just cut those wings just before the curve and sand down? These are for the bicep armor in the post above btw (Had to update the pic).

Once I get these forearm pieces done I'l post my finished Knee, Forearm, and Bicep armors. Super excited to finally be getting things done!

Yes. Just trim and sand that's it.
