Matt-77364 Posted February 21, 2020 Posted February 21, 2020 Hi, I recently assembled a biker scout blaster (EC-17) kit. I wanted to put some clear plastic in the ends of the scope, but when I tried to use super glue, it fogged up the plexiglass pretty bad. Does anyone have any suggestions for how to stick some glass or plexiglass inside the scope ends? Thanks.
Stroker Posted February 21, 2020 Posted February 21, 2020 I've used e6000 and believe it or not shoe goo to glue clear plastic. Either one will hold great. That's just what I tend to use. Now I'm sure someone else will chime in with some more options. 1
Chopper Posted February 21, 2020 Posted February 21, 2020 Stroker is right on. E6000, which is silicone based contact cement, will adhere the clear plastic disc to the blaster. Assuming your blaster is not rubber, you could also use canopy cement, which dries clear and is sold in model/hobby stores. 1
Matt-77364 Posted February 21, 2020 Author Posted February 21, 2020 Got it, thanks guys! I appreciate the advice! I'm hoping my armor arrives sometime this coming week, and I will be able to finally submit for my Biker Scout armor.
CatfoodRob Posted February 21, 2020 Posted February 21, 2020 The original blasters were just resin casts , no glass in the scopes . I thought glass lenses would prevent the blaster clearing for the 501 st ... but maybe I'm wrong . Worth thinking about for accuracys sake tjough .

However the blaster is not needed for basic approval.
BikerScout007 Posted February 21, 2020 Posted February 21, 2020 The hold up would be for level 2. Hold-out Blaster Flat or semi-gloss black. Blaster does not have any visible trigger. Blaster is lightly weathered. OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): The scope has lens discs cut into the scope for a more realistic appearance. No decals representing cross hairs or similar. No drilled barrels. The screen used ones did not have drilled barrels.

You need a holster for basic but not a blaster to go in it ...and then for level two it asks for a blaster which has lenses which are not screen accurate . Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk It's not asking for a glass lens. Its asking for the cuts in the scope. I think the wording could definitely be better though. Let's get this cleaned up. 1 1
