Worried about weathering

Good day,

 

This is my first build for any kind if costuming ever, especially for anything as high echelon as 501st quality, I recently completed my helmet and am starting to worry I weathered it too much. I wanted to give it a real worn feel to it, so I went a little heavy handed. What are your guys thoughts?

I don't think this qualifies as "heavy handed" looks good to me.

While there is a fine line to weathering, that looks about right. 

The original helmets had varying levels of weathering, which you can see in the link below. You're def in the right ballpark.
