Elephant Knight
My armour build is, well, the armour parts I'm thinking are pretty much done, but let's see what you all have to say. A few tweaks have been made since these pictures have been taken, -Shoulder bells have been shortened by an inch or so -Grey rectangle has been painted -Curved stitching on the cod piece. Currently waiting for my replacement rank bar stripes to arrive. Things I want feedback on: The person in the 501st who I am in contact with says the cummerbund stipes need to be darker... A second opinion please? Pouches. What's a good way to make them more stiff? I'll try to get new, updated pictures tonight. We shall all ignore the under suit. I'm currently just wearing a turtleneck and black pants. Move about your business. EKnight
BikerScout007
The pouches need to sit above the belt. You can fill them with foam. Walt's kit.... looks like it's too big for you. The chest armor is hanging too low. You might need to remove some shoulder strap so that it sits higher. The chest armor should only cover the pectoral area. Trim the shoulder bells as well, they are a bit too long. This will help bring the biceps up. It's not that the bund stripes are "dark", it's that there is enough batting inside the bund that the stitching is more apparent from a distance. The more batting, the more they will stand out. Same is true of the codpiece curb. Also.... looks like your belt is clipped in the back rather than closed with velcro. You need to make sure that clip does not sure. The TD should cover it completely.
BikerScout007
For comparison against a screen used. Ignore the holster being on the wrong boot. No idea why that was done for the Costumes book. Sent from my LG-H872 using Tapatalk

Hmm Yeah, I'm not a huge guy, standing at 5'7" I'll see if I can trim it a bit more. Looks like the shoulder bells the bottom should be flush with the one bit of the chest bit. Can't believe I didn't clue into that before. Definitely going to have to rework that bund a bit then. I had no idea the belt was supposed to be closed with Velcro. I had understood that one uses the clips. Thanks a lot for the tips! EKnight

EKnight You can cut the foam into a U shape and still be able to use your pouches, I’ve done it on all the scouts I’ve assisted building and it’s worked very well for phones keys wallet cards etc.

Carved out a section so that it could still be used to store things while filling out the pouch.

EKnight Walt really needs to be explicit that his kit is for bigger people. If you remove some of the shoulder strap on the front and back that should help bring it up. There'a pic floating around with a test fitting of the Scout armor from 1982 and the person wearing the costume is not wearing the TD, so you can clearly see there is no clip. That leaves Velcro as the only alternative. Like I said, for basic you just need to make sure the clip does not show.

M.J
Not sure if anyone has touched base on this, the cod piece should sit a little more under, we shouldn't be able to see the end line, pull it down a little and dont be shy to pull it back,

Aliaz
Looking pretty good there. A few pointers: your pouches are too much to the side, they should be facing forwards. and tbh they are way to big. 6x5 inches is the ballpark to aim for. your bund should also tuck under the chest armor, not leave a gap so you can see the jumpsuit. the shoulder bridges on the chest/back armor need to meet at your shoulder, and be covered by shoulder bridges. You should be able to heat and bend them to follow the curve of your shoulder, which probably will get the chest piece up abit and fit better. Keep at it trooper, almost there!
