jwnikita Posted February 9, 2020 Posted February 9, 2020 It’s been almost a year since my approval but FINALLY have some downtime and we can start the process of making the boots Lancer ready. TK Hubby is doing the work since I do not have the eyesight to do the intricate work (I’m legally blind). The pencil line pattern has been drawn on the boots for a long time and only needed a bit of touch up. The cutting has started using a hot knife. Here’s the progress so far. Chopper Posted February 9, 2020 Posted February 9, 2020 Hey Jill, great to see you back at it. Nice work so far. One tip, assuming you haven't trimmed the heel portion yet, but you might want to adjust the rectangles. On the original sierra's, the longer rectangle was on the bottom, and the shorter was on the top. Your pencil marks have it the other way around. Also please note that your soles have a two tone sole, so, for level 2 you'll need to use acrylic paint to make it a single "wheat" color. Keep up the good work! 1

jwnikita Posted November 14, 2020 Author Posted November 14, 2020 Ok. Grooves are done. Now I need to paint the soles so they are one color. How does this paint match up? Would this work for one solid color?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Chopper Posted November 14, 2020 Posted November 14, 2020 Yes, I think that color should work just fine. That's an acrylic paint?
