Best place to start is our Shoretrooper armory: http://forum.501stpathfinders.com/index.php?/forum/119-the-shoretrooper-armory/ The Shoretrooper HQ has info on vendors, parts and paints: http://forum.501stpathfinders.com/index.php?/forum/116-shoretrooper-hq/ The WIPs show other folks' builds so you can get some ideas for your own: http://forum.501stpathfinders.com/index.php?/forum/129-shoretrooper-wip/ And finally we have the best Shoretrooper Armory team around: @TK8271 Rogue Trooper, @ScaryGuy and @KOtrooper can all be contacted about any questions you may have. Best of luck!
Dart
Welcome aboard, Logan! Mickey's got some great links you should check out above. Understand that it can take some time to assemble a kit depending on supplier timelines and availability. When assembling a new kit, I like to get what I can whenever I can afford it. For example, if you're dead-set on a Shoretrooper (don't blame ya, they're pretty cool), and you can't get the armour, try looking for the soft parts, like gloves, pants, boots, etc..., so you get some forward progress and can slowly work towards a finished costume. Good luck with your build and make sure you let us know if you need anything.
KOtrooper
Hi Logan! Greetings back from Washington State! I've been to Alaska many times and love it! It's so beautiful everywhere you go. The Shoretrooper is a great kit. I have a BSP kit. When I started my build doing 3D prints wasn't an option. Now it very much is and some of my current kit is 3D printed in order to get sharper details. Please ask questions. We would love to help!
LorahJanin
Hi Logan! I'm also new to this too! Hoping to do a shoretrooper also as they are SO cool. Dart mentioned about getting the soft parts is what I'm working on first. Have you checked out the costumes list? https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:Pathfinders_CRL Do you know if you want to do the Captain, Grunt or Squad leader yet? Some of the soft parts you can start looking for are: -Balaclava -Neck seal < on Etsy there are options to buy one of these there which is what I'm looking to do -Shirt -Gloves -Blet- nylon straps -Pouches -Trousers -Boots I don't know if any of that helps but hopefully we can help each other on this journey!
