Snout black...what do you use?

Looking to repaint the snout on my RS bucket.  What paint do you guys use/recommend?  Do you brush, air brush, spray?

I used masking tape, artists curve tape for the top curved part, and rusto flat black spray paint.

  I used a 1/8 3M striping masking tape (automotive) to follow the curve at the top of the snout and a general purpose matte/satin rattle can.

So did you guys primer, mask off the snout, then do the final coat of white?  Or did you not mask off the snout at all and go back to paint it after the final coat of white? 

I'm trying to figure which process would be least painful but still have the snout come out cleanly.  I'm thinking if I go back to paint the snout after everything then I'd have to sand the snout..strip off the gloss and paint etc. which seems harder.

It's such a small area....and it's not a large flexible portion of the face late.  So  I wouldn't worry too much about it flaking off without primer.  I painted my face plate too, then just went back a day or so later, masked the snout and sprayed it.  Let it dry again for 24hrs and E6000'ed the greeblie on.  Don't overthink it....All is well.

As long as you're using the same brand of paint, you should be a-ok to paint the snout area in black on top of the gloss white paint. No need to strip anything back down.
