I am starting this to get my motivation going.  I have had armor for about 20 years, but no helmet or time (I had kids though.)  Ive made a couple attempts at some soft parts, but never completed them.  I recently moved to PA and have a nice space in a basement to begin.  I acquired a helmet from WTF.  I have a 3D printer that is running great.  Printer a blaster already.  Now its time to get going.  I'll try to post some pics soon.

If you nees help with the soft stuff let us know. I have actually sewn all the parts except for the creation of the flight suite. I did sew the riding patch to my suite though.

Thanks.  I am thinking hard about the soft parts.  Its gets really expensive when you try to buy everything.

I learned how to sew with my biker scout kit, it looks daunting, but its really easy. I can talk you through the process or show you through vid chat.

Thanks.  I'm trying t get organized at the moment. Find fabric, etc.  I'm also still trying to finalize my workspace.  I'm hauling some furniture down to my son in a week or so which wi ll help with that process.

Well.  I've run into a bit of a snag right at the start.  I was able to meet up with a local scout and it turns out that my armor is not going to work.  I bought this armor a long time ago, maybe even before there was a CRL for it.  Many parts are too large, and some are the wrong shape entirely.  So I am re-thinking what I am going to do.  Having to buy armor in addition to all the soft parts is not what I had planned.  I may consider switching to a Tie Pilot, or something with a little less cost and time investment.  I might give some thought to 3D printing my armor.  Can 3d printed armor meet the CRL?

Upload pics, interested to see how the pieces have changed.
