Matt-77364 Posted January 11, 2020 Posted January 11, 2020 Does anyone have any recommendations for the four rivets for attaching the pistol holster to the right boot? What size should the rivets be, and any other tips and techniques for this attachment?
Chopper Posted January 11, 2020 Posted January 11, 2020 Most folks use bare aluminum 1/8" diameter rivets with either 1/8" pull, or 1/4" pull. DOn't get steel rivet. While steel is sturdier, it's a BEAST if you need to ever drill it out and replace the rivet. Make sure to pick up some aluminum 1/8" backing plates as well, else you may crack the rivet holes in the plastic. 2

Would "Chicago screws" work as well, as long as the screw head element was on the inside?
Chopper Posted January 11, 2020 Posted January 11, 2020 Unfortunately, no. Level 1 of the CRL specifically says "rivets", so chicago screws would be a no-go. "Attached to the outside of the right boot with rivets." 1
