theenglishdjentleman Posted December 10, 2019 Posted December 10, 2019 Hi all, I'm looking to weather my Cumberbund and pouches to meet the 'Down and Dirty' look of my armour. I'm just wanting to know what the best way to approach this would be? I find a spray can can be easily overdone and damage the material (Mercerised Cotton). I wouldn't mind throwing some dried earth/ dirt on it and see if that has an authentic look. What processes did other people try? Thanks! Sent from my ONEPLUS A5010 using Tapatalk
Chopper Posted December 10, 2019 Posted December 10, 2019 I did some very light misting using tamiya matte black model spray cans. I stood about 1.5 to 2ft back when I did the misting, so it's really light. The spray from the tamiya cans is much finer than a standard rustoleum rattle can, and closer to an airbrush, which I've found has a better effect. 2
BikerScout007 Posted December 10, 2019 Posted December 10, 2019 Here's a weathered screen used bund. You can see paint spray all over it. Sent from my LG-H872 using Tapatalk
theenglishdjentleman Posted December 11, 2019 Author Posted December 11, 2019 I'll give a spray can a shot when the weather picks back up then Non stop rain in Northern England haha. Will aim for a good misting distance Sent from my ONEPLUS A5010 using Tapatalk 1
