Regarding Lancer approval

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I apologize if this info is already posted nor if there's a section for this request, i seem to not have full access to some post.

Currently in the process of building my Scout Trooper from SC and have 2 questions:

1. Do I need to cover up the seams on the back of the Studio Creation helmet in order to be approved for Lancer and if so with what would I use for the seams?

2. What type of black do i need for the snout, flat or glossy.

Thank you

I am also building an SC in hopes of going Lancer. We do need to fill the seam. There is a product called Devcon Plastic Welder in a Cream color that has been recommended to fill the seam. We have to sand and fill it until it is smooth, and then paint the helmet white afterwards. On my snout I used Flat Black.

Yes as smooth as you can get it to make it looks as the original. Sadly you'll have to paint it. Devcon is all I use on helmets. It's easy to sand and you might end up with pin holes ,but a little spot putty will fix that.

Thank you for the response, what's the best white paint in order to repaint helmet? I used Rustoleum Enamel Gloss White Spray for my Tk but idk if there's something better.

Thank you again

I painted my RS helmet kit with Rusto 2 in 1 gloss white. You could also use semi gloss.

You can likely use what you used with your TK as long as it's gloss or semi gloss and adheres to plastic well.
