Hi, all...  First post, here.  I have searched through all of the existing posts and found that there are many different greys used for the snout.

I ended up using Rust-oleum flat grey primer, being that it is a bit darker than other primers.

I want to get the color right before I glue the snout in, so my question is, does this color look like it will pass?

Thanks, in advance!

You want it to match you decals. Yes there's several different brands people use, however testers has proven to be the closest to the original.

Should I not use the decals that come with my kit? Should I start looking for paint for my snout?

What kit do you have? The biggest thing is matching the decal color to the snout color. The best decals can run a little dark to a little lite so as long as they match your good.
