SC Helmet question

Recommended Posts

Do you guys use Beveled Washers in your buckets? I was following a build video from Kropserkle and he uses two when connecting the visor to the faceplate. I was curious if anyone knew what size is used, as he does not state it himself. Thanks in advance for the help.

I used Speedglas bolts on the KS helmet I put together, so I skipped that whole part of his tutorial.  The Speedglas bolts are the ones used in the actual helmet and they are a much better option than riveting it together like Scott does.

I have some pics here:

Speedglas bolts make it very easy to disassemble the helmet if you need to.  And like I said, they are what were used on the originals.

Okay, I'll look into getting some of those then. Thanks Mickey.

I was actually able to order a set from Amazon. Thanks for the advice, Mickey.

They're the wrong color.  They ship black ones. Kevin has the proper color.
