Chrome Green Visor

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone,

I have a question about the visor tint on the BARC helmet. I have seen a few people with a finished product and I am curious what everyone is using and recommends. From my research I have found two possibilites: Motorcycle Helmet Visor Inserts or After-market Automotive Window Tint. Here are some sources for both...

Despite the higher price, I am leaning towards the window tint over the visor inserts. From what I can tell, the window tint is an outside mounting and the motorcycle visor is an inside mounting.

Also, anyone have any recommendations on how to mount the visor inside the helmet? I'm trying to decide between the ol' standard hot glue solution and some sort of fabricated bracket / slide-in mounting system.

I'm open to suggestions....

The visor that I used in my helmet is a Scott Brand Motocross visor...don't know all the details, but I did PM pghfett about the specific product number and such. But the outside is a bright chrome green and the inside is a very light blue, just like looking through a pair of glasses.

I found it hard to find a lens for my TB bucket so I used Evergreen plastic card from my local hobby shop. It comes in white or clear. I cut the clear to size and used the limo window tint film. If you have the chrome green film I suggest that you do the same. It is really easy and cheap to do.
