Commodore212
I was wondering about the scout trooper boots. On the “dog bone” part there are 2 lines of stitching on either side. If I don’t have the stitching present on the “dog bone” would my boots still be approvable? https://www.dropbox.com/s/9kyhwpiekkte44x/Photo Sep 07%2C 6 11 08 PM.png?dl=
Chopper
Hey there, as per the crl, the double stitching is required for basic approval. "Dog bones have double stitching along the rounded edges as seen in the film"
Commodore212
Dang alright thanks is there any specific color that I need to use like if I used brown could I still be approved?
Chopper
What color thread? It's preferable to use white as it's likely that the brownish color of the thread in the motm photos is from weathering and age.
Commodore212
Would I still be approved though if I used brown and passed it off as weathering?

Why not just use white? I mean after a few troops the thread starts to get that screen look. With brown you probably won't get that affect. Commodore212
I don’t have white thread and If I need white I’ll get it but I’m just wondering if I need to
Stroker
I'd just buy white and do it right the first time. I mean I don't know who your gml will be,but they could easily ding you on the thread and you'd have to go back and redo them with white.
