Kripton Top Etsy Shop Questions

Recommended Posts

Good morning Scouts,

I saw a post on a Facebook page from someone who has a shop on Etsy called Kripton Top. The stores page has the wording "Accurate Replicas" and "Affordable Prices" on it. I looked at the Vendor List but it isn't listed there. Should I assume that this would not be a good spot to get armor from?

Kriptontop = Christian CucBlack

While I can recommend his soft goods, which are quite excellent, his armor and helmet are constructed from thin HIPS plastic, which, as a material, is prone to cracking and breaking.

Christian (aka Cucblack or CB) is not on the Vendor list because he was banned from selling here.  While his stuff is top notch (I myself wore his vest for years), he had shipping issues a few years back that resulted in several transaction fails that were never rectified.  Until they are, we can't in good conscience add him back to the vendor list.

From what I understand, his Etsy dealings have been good, although it is HIGHLY recommended you ask for FedEx shipping.

I just got a vest from him via Etsy.  I was a bit leery ordering from him based on his past experience as a vendor here on the forum, but the options on getting anything but a "jersey stretch" (t-shirt material) vest seem to be thin nowadays.  I wanted something more substantial like Kriptontop makes.  On the suggestions of Corey, Mickey and others here on the forum, I made sure to choose the FedEx shipping option and received the vest trouble free in about 4-6 weeks.

I bought Cucblacks armor. In fact, my plan was to go with him for all my Biker Scout stuff. But as it's been stated, his armor is brittle. I myself can confirm. So now I'm in the middle of replacing most of my armor... Again.

I'd stick with the soft armor (and maybe the decals) if you want to shop from Cucblack. Even then, I think that stuff is a bit more rigid then I'd like.
