How to dress a Scout Trooper

ABK

Recommended Posts

Hi team,  was wondering with updates in the CRL if anyone has done a "how to dress" video lately?

All I found was one about 10 years ago anyone got any quality detailed ones to share?

Thanks

Hey Alistair, I think I know the video you're talking about. Unfortunately, there aren't any how to dress videos made recently. Are you wondering how all the parts, both hard armor and soft parts, are supposed to fit together?

I do have a thread on rigging your gear up so it all stays together -- that might be helpful?

Because I'm a bit "bigger", I've found this works for me

Suit
Cummerbund
Knees
Boots (with shoe horn assist)
vest (when the temp is under 25)
Chest/back/shoulders (connected)
Belt and thermal det
Align everything
Biceps
Wrist guards
Balaclava
Gloves
Set arm armour correctly, check the rest
Helmet

Ready for duty...

OMG I forget about the boots and Knees

I'm a tad older and have a hard time bending at the best of times so here is my line up

Suit (Pants and top)

Neck seal (if you have one) Balaclava so you can tuck in before strapping up collar.

Vest.

Cummberbun.. ( check pouches before velcro up, oh dear lord how many of us forgot and we have chest piece on as well) and the velcro up the back, make sure your mud flap is ok.

KNEES! (I have made mine able to put on if I have my boots on already though its soo much easier when they are on first) ( I need a dollar for each time I forgot)

BOOTS: I Need a chair to sit, tuck in pants into your socks and pop on those boots, never pull the vinyl completely away as in time the glue will come apart, check velcro is even at the back.

Chest/back/ shoulders..( check top and bells are strapped in) sitting nicely on bun.

Belt: I connect at the front and twist it around back all of mine is connected

Arms: Check everything while pulling on, nothing upside down. (cheeky smile)

Make sure helmet is out of bag and everything is placed away safely.

Helmet....Yep I said helmet,

Gloves last: I pop the front up on my helmet then pop the gloves on.

Cheers.
