Ladyghost4459 Posted June 11, 2007 Posted June 11, 2007 OMG I am totally speechless. It is better than the first one. Are you sure you don't work for Lucas Arts? Quote
TB-7076 Posted June 11, 2007 Posted June 11, 2007 He probably doesn't work for them as Lucas Arts always messes with the chars. That's an outstanding colour job. And I really like the icon tohugh this means automatically I missed big time . New chin greeblies look great as well. Quote
Ghst915 Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 WOW FANTASTIC JOB Mike as always. Did you seal it with some kind of clear coat after the camo paint job? Quote
Army Scout Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 Hey Mike, Looks great. Take a look at www.501st.com/icostumes.php and see if ya match. They are worried about the light angles. Chris Quote
TB-1019 Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 Outstanding work, Mike! I may be a very infrequent visitor to the BARC side of the site, but you may just change my mind about this costume. MAY. Beautiful job, no matter what. Quote

Guest spooky-kid Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 dude. that's freakin sweet lookin'. can't wait to hear from Jason on when i can order my helmet kit. Quote
DesTROYer Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 That is fricken sweet man, great work and most impressive. Please don't take this as criticism of your work, as as I have said, it is beautiful and most likely, this detail is accurate too, but the black Trapezoids on the back of the helmet and the black vertical stripes, just look... i don't know... out of place. like they were stuck on as an after thought. Maybe they should be indented or even raised from the surface of the helmet so they look like they have a purpose. As I have said, it looks great and I am no expert. but they just don't look right to me. JM2C Troy Quote

JM2C Troy Troy, To keep it cannon, by all the movie stills I have, the markings are neither raised or recessed so I kept it as such. I do however agree with you, it's one section of the helmet I'm not so crazy about. Feel free to be critical about anything, thats what makes things progress and get better. I don't take stuff like that to heart. If not for others being critical, I've never gotten the helmet to where it is now Quote
TB-7076 Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 It is actually a detail I plan to refine once I get to it. The problem with CGI models especially those meant for monumental shots do lack certain details in the mesh and have t go with textures to keep up the illusion. I for one have always enhanced my costumes to somehow match real life demands to a combat gear still maintianing the formal shape fo the movie original. One reason why I take so long developing and realizing a costume. For those who want to have this look Troy is mentioning I think it's not to difficult to mod the helmet. The changes don't affect crucial parts of the helmet. I think it's easier to do than modding a DP into something more satisfying Quote
Sentinel Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 I must know how you did the vents under the eyes. This problem has been plaguing me! Quote
