Thermal Detonator Greeblies

Hi,

crl says that round greeble is on the right side. But the references shows it on the left side. What is correct?

The round greeblie on the right is correct.

Always follow the CRL!  You can find one or two references where the greebs are reversed and I can find 100 where it is as described in the CRL.

Also FYI, that reference shot was flipped in the film. 

Notice that the tank and helmet decals are also on the opposite side

When in doubt check the crl!

Of course i check the crl. But in the costume book, the round greeble is on the right side.

maybe someone has a reference shot of the greeble showing it on the right side?

Here is another flipped image from the film.  If it were facing the right way, the circle would be on the right.

And if you look at the MotM Scout, the greeblies have long since fallen off but you can tell by the position of the TD that the circle would be on the right.

No.  One side is wider than the other.   The long greeblie goes on the wider side, the circle goes on the shorter side.   Look at the pic of the TD on the MotM Scout and you'll see what I mean

So i had to change my thermal detonator which i bought.

i shortened the right side (before it was symmetrical)

drilled new holes (the others had a to close distance)

changed the greebles

pictures: after and before 🙂
