Quick cummerbund question ...cheers

Hi folks, I'm sewing up my cummerbund . Using the latest discussions on here as a guide , I've made it 8 1/2 inches tall , and I've got five ribs in the front, one inch apart .

Live got IB pouches , six high , five wide and two deep ...were getting there !!

Im now ready to stitch the pouches to the bund . Looking at reference photos, the pouches seem to start  an inch from the the last stitching line of the last rib .

Is this what's expected ? One inch ? I'm not overly fat ( lol ) so this dimension will bring them to my sides, and level with the edge of the chest piece .

the question is ...one inch ok ???

A good rule is to have the distance be the same as the space between the ribs. Looks pretty good, maybe a touch to much space.

It's an optical illusion .( lol ) .. it's a shade under an inch and a quarter , the ribs are inch .

The pouches hang  outwards ever so slightly , making the gap at the bottom look larger , a tiny tab of Velcro will hold them in I guess.

One last question though ..

designs on tank toppers , white dot I know is acceptable, and offside red square isn't ...but two red strips of electrical tape ..one either side of the circle ....is that acceptable, or had I better play safe with a white circle ?

Your almost there!  The bund gave me a beating when trying to figure out the height of it. I ended up going with 9" it gave me the exact look I wanted. Also just to add my height is 6'5" weight 180-185. Here's my app.

”Top detail piece has a white painted circle and red line detail.”

Nothing else is allowed.
