TK 14056's Biker Scout Build

Bärenjäger

Recommended Posts

Hello Pathfinders,

I have not done a traditional build thread that documented each step of my biker scout assembly, but I nonetheless wanted to post here for feedback on the final product. In advance, I appreciate any and all replies and the time and thought devoted to them. I am just looking to see if anyone might spot something that will hold the costume back from basic approval. Here are my submission photos:

I did not include all the submission photos for the sake of brevity but please feel free to request additional photos if, based on these photos, there is an area of concern. Otherwise, if there is a place that tends to snag new pathfinders up during the approval process, I'd be not only happy but grateful to provide a better view. Thank you!

Hey Eric. I see a few small, simple refinements that can really improve your look as a scout, but overall I think you've done a really good job! Basic clearance should be easy work for you.

Some suggestions:

1) move your pouches outward a bit -- approximately 1".

2) make sure you tuck the upper back side of your bund in, it's sticking out a little bit

3) the visor bolt on your left side seems to be popping out a bit. Is it loose?

4) rotate your bicep and forearm armour forward a bit slightly

As I said, it's really just small stuff. But yeah, good job overall on your build. :)

Thanks Corey! I will definitely remember these when I am suiting up in the future.

As for the helmet bolt, I checked it after I read your reply. It might be that you are seeing a reflection on bolt in the original photo; however, it could just as well be my imagination that it’s flat. Looking at and holding my helmet moments ago, it seemed flush, but I could just be in-denial. Here is a better photo of the left side of the helmet:

That looks fine and I apologize for any confusion there. I think you're right and the reflection made it look like the bolt was slightly out of the hole in the visor. No worries.

No need to apologize! You’re doing me a favor with your input as you do with many others here on the forums. It’s appreciated. I was just being thorough by following up.

Thanks! I plan to make those changes eventually, but I need to acquire a new blaster first— preferably a DLT-19. My holdout pistol is a Hyperfirm and therefore not acceptable at Lancer as far as I know. Appreciate the compliments though!

I have a hyperfirm. As long as it meets the requirements listed on the CRL your fine. Mines even a hyperfirm B grade. It just fit the requirements. Submit :) i can send you The link to my submission pics so you can see what kinds of pics they're looking for? Did you build your kit with the correct strap specifications?

Interesting, I bought mine from another member who advised me the scope was of the incorrect type for Lancer. Maybe I’ll take a shot at Lancer with it anyways.

As for armor specifications, I just need to switch the width of the shoulder bridge coverings, cut out vents in the holster, and switch out the thermal detonator end caps. I believe that’s the gist of the modificafions unless I am missing something.

Good morning and congrats on your approval Pathfinder!

Hyperfirm is acceptable for Lancer submissions. There are more accurate representations available but we certainly allow them. Looking forward to seeing your Lancer app in the future!
