I wasn't sure if I should post this here or in the armor  forum

Anyway, are there guidelines for how far from the top of the boot the top edge of the plate for the holster should be?

How about the edge from the back seam?

Also not sure how to go about getting all four rivets attached since the boot is already made.

Any tips for this would be helpful. Thanks!

Hiya, the holster should fit evenly centered on the right side of the boot. Using the CRL image as a guide, it appears to be about 1/2" down from the top edge of the vinyl.

Regarding assembly, while the front portion looks fine, you need to cut a slot to fit the two holster parts together.

You will also need to round off the edges of the holster. While this is from an older build thread, by Pandatrooper, it should show what I mean, below:

Chopper - thank you for the tips!   If I’m following this correctly, we should feed the lip on the outer shell of the holster into the slot and the glue it from the inside.

Mordenkainen44 -- That's correct. In fact, you may not even need to glue it if it's seated in the slot properly. If you want to make it extra secure though , you could use E6000.
