The length looks a lot better!  You should be able to bring up your bicep and forearm armor more on your arm now.

Hi

Just doing some alts at the moment, should my shoulder armour elastic be sitting underneath my vest sleeves?

Thanks

Hi Jenn!

I have Chefs armor aswell, great choice! :)

From what I can see, maybe you elastic is a bit tight? It should not pull on the sleeves, just keep the shoulder bell in position. On your left shoulder it looks like it's pulling your shoulder bell upwards, creating a gap on top.

Like @BikerScout007 says, pull your bicep armor up and rotate it so that it is facing sideways and not back. A piece of velcro on the sleeve and inside the bicep armor is a great help to keep it in place. The forearm armor can be pulled up aswell.

Also tuck your bund under the armor at the back aswell. It will help keep it in place and stop it from dropping/showing beneath your belt at the back.

Any more questions, just ask! :)

Hi Max,

Are you meaning my shoulder bells look too tight? I had to sew my sleeves a bit shorter and it looks like its really tight there but it doesnt feel it (does that make sense?)

Am I best adding velcro to my bicep armour and forearm armour? I have tightened these with hot glue but its annoying as they still move slightly!!

I am having some issues with my bund, it doesnt sit high enough and overlaps on my chest armour! I have velcro already on this but i think i need to add some more.

Thank you Max!!

Yeah, I can see what Max is saying as well. The elastic is bunching and creating indents in the arms of your flak vest. The shoulder bell elastic shouldn't be super tight, it just needs to hold the bell onto the vest sleeve.

I would also recommending moving your bells out a little bit. Right now they're really close to the shoulder bridges. There's no exact measurement, but try leaving about an inch between the bridges and the top edge of the bell. That should let them move with your body a bit more naturally.

I added velcro to my suit for my bicep, forearm, and knee armor. This keeps them in place without having to worry about tightening the elastic down so much.

You can see examples in the thread I posted earlier: http://forum.501stpathfinders.com/index.php?/topic/18894-some-tips-for-keeping-your-scout-costume-together-while-trooping/

The bund should go under your chest/back armor. So it should look like this: 59c31f2ab76a3751202e84dc7dc408c5.jpg not on the outside as you have it now. So it should overlap, but on the inside.

The only problem I see that really need attention is the bunching on the on cod piece. Also the shoulder bells look to be setting a bit to far forward in the first few pics. Looking good! It's a hard costume to get right, but your almost there.

Hi

How would I correct this? I've heard people using bubble wrap to stop the bunching?

I used a piece of 1/4" volara foam to stiffen up my cod. Others have used buckram, or even cardboard.

It also helps to make sure that you have the cod resting flat on the front of your body. Bunching is usually caused by a too tight strap pulling your cod between your legs.
