jwnikita Posted January 26, 2019 Posted January 26, 2019 Ok, she's all together, correct bolts and all. How does it look? Maybe a bit further back at the temple? https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1iALxkk08c9RpOJxL98GClYfbUJM1UxzM?usp=sharing
Frank75139 Posted January 26, 2019 Posted January 26, 2019 Yea I’d even out the temple areaSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1
Chopper Posted January 26, 2019 Posted January 26, 2019 Hey Jill, I know you've been working hard at this, but there's still a few things that you need to address -- On the left side of the helmet, the upper visor and faceplate are aligned good, but you should try and make the edge more flush to the back portion of the helmet. You may need to re-drill your bolt hole. On the left side, the upper visor and face plate look decently aligned. However, the bottom edge of the helmet back and faceplate are misaligned and will need to be adjusted. I've attached two images showing where you should make adjustments. The Scout helmet is one of the most fidgety helmets to build. Just keep working the adjustments and you'll get there.

Frank75139 Posted January 27, 2019 Posted January 27, 2019 5775, 5776, & 5777 look good, the others look kinda off. But you seem to get the gist of getting it evened out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Chopper Posted January 27, 2019 Posted January 27, 2019 It looks like there's still some excess on the left side of the faceplate that hasn't been trimmed? Am I seeing that right? And you'll need to keep working the left part of the faceplate, it's still disjointed from the bottom of the back of the helmet. Again, it's hard to tell from the photos if it needs to be trimmer further, or if it's a fit issue. 1

I don’t think we trimmed anything as there were no set lines. I added to the album some closer photos showing where I think you are talking about. One side has a “ridge” for lack of better term but the other side doesn’t. ???There is also still a trim line on the top of the visor that I think we need to cut down little by little to get it to sit more flush to the dome? Added photos of this to album as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1

Digger Posted January 28, 2019 Posted January 28, 2019 "It looks like there's still some excess on the left side of the faceplate that hasn't been trimmed?" -Chopper I think there is very little room to trim the back. Just look at img 5777: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1p7iK5icCP5PoCu3Xkn3SZlsSpW1LaIhp It's hard to get the face more towards the back when the topside is already against the dome. In the end it may be a question of leaving that wobbly line on, or trim it and have a gap between the plate and bucket... I don't know 1

BikerScout007 Posted January 29, 2019 Posted January 29, 2019 There was just a tiny bit to trim off. One pass with the Lexan scissors would get it. The photos in your new gallery look pretty good. 1
Frank75139 Posted January 29, 2019 Posted January 29, 2019 If there’s a second thought about it you can always contact whoever from your garrison that approves the costumes. Ultimately they have the final say, but I don’t think it’s a big deal for approval. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1
jwnikita Posted January 30, 2019 Author Posted January 30, 2019 Ok. I think this is as good as it is going to get. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1-8goRT3pWPwpD8pzkQKq396zBBcQ7NgySent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1
