jwnikita Posted January 24, 2019 Posted January 24, 2019 Trying to get a better idea of what the bridge and covers should look like, and what ideas and materials others have used. Can you share with me please? Thanks!
Chopper Posted January 24, 2019 Posted January 24, 2019 These are mine, though when I did this build, I had used the 1.5" cotton webbing, instead of the updated standard in the current CRL. Strider also has some excellent examples in his thread of how to rig it up, here: http://forum.501stpathfinders.com/index.php?/topic/17305-lancer-build-tutorial/&

I like to do things like the way they were done in the film. 1

Frank75139 Posted January 25, 2019 Posted January 25, 2019 Just wraps around and attaches with sewn on velcro. I can’t take credit for it, bough the armor mostly assembled, I just had to do adjustments. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1

I guess that is where most of my confusion lies. I believe the gap between the two shoulder joints should be no more than an inch, but does that go the same for the material that covers it?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
BikerScout007 Posted January 25, 2019 Posted January 25, 2019 Yes that cover is way too wide for Level 2. An inch at the widest. There really shouldn't be a gap between the shoulder joins. They should be touching. 1
Frank75139 Posted January 25, 2019 Posted January 25, 2019 Personally I think 1” is too small, I like it a bit beefier, but who am I. No plans on going above basic for me so I’m ok with it. If your doing 1” I’d like to see how it turns out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1
BikerScout007 Posted January 25, 2019 Posted January 25, 2019 You can see it pretty clearly there. That's an inch.
jwnikita Posted January 25, 2019 Author Posted January 25, 2019 You can see it pretty clearly there. That's an inch. Got it, so inch wide elastic but as wide as the ABS is at the shoulder. Is that correct?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

BikerScout007 Posted February 6, 2019 Posted February 6, 2019 Glued to the top and sides. It does not go all the way under. From what I can tell from staring at film stills, this is how it was done in the movie. In some scenes you can see the frayed edges where the elastic is snipped.
Aliaz Posted February 6, 2019 Posted February 6, 2019 Here is an example of how I did mine using velcro. Same thing can be done with glue instead. Skickat från min iPhone med Tapatalk 2
