Drop boxes question

So, the CRL for Lancer says "drop boxes hang about an inch from the best".

So, is that measuring from the bottom of the belt to the top of the box? Is that an inch of the fabric hangs?  An inch seems really close to the belt and seem to cramp up the fabric and buckle.

Can I please have some clarification on this?

Second question, did I do the parachute clips correctly to make them non-functional? (back view)

Yes the bottom of the belt to the top of the box and yes you did them correctly if you were going for the non functional way. However you might wanna flip the clips the opposite way. Here's my Lancer app.

Tim is right on the money. Typically they should 1”-1.5” from the bottom of the belt.
