Imperial Boots Biker Scout Soft Parts

For anyone interested....

Imperial boots now has their soft goods available online.

Im actually only interested in the vest, but unfortunately it doesn’t look like it’s available to purchase alone. The only part available to purchase separately is the jumpsuit,  boots, balaclava, and gloves

Their “Diaper” seems a bit tall

Buttflap is missing from the flightsuit.

As for the rest of the soft goods there are some issues, the DL/Armory Team will adress this shortly.

Hi guys....

So these are all still prototypes and I am sure all issues have been address. I've got a set of the parts we approved, I'll get some images up soon. More than the flap has been added. We will also be updating our Scout situation with next weeks youtube vlog (link below).

Chat soon, Rob.

Most of those look fairly terrible, and the use of the word "diaper" is not appreciated.

That cummerbund is so terrible that I doubt you'd be able to get basic with it, and definitely not Lancer.

Looking forward to the updates.

Also, regarding the flight suit. the riding Patches are way to long, should end above the knee. The zipper is also visible in some photos, which is not allowed for approval. So yeah, give us a nice surprise.

@Whiskey what did they say about the revised suit? Anything you could share?

Just that as Rob mentioned earlier.....the issues has been addressed.  And the images on their website do not reflect the final production run.

I’ve seen a few snapshots of the revised suit, but I’d rather let RS or IB introduce the images of the revision. The images I have are more cellphone shots and don’t think it represents a good visual.

Whiskey, Do you think it is safe to order and be approved?

I know the wave closes on the 18th, so I ordered the flightsuit to review.

If you can wait for the arrival and my review or if IB adds updated images.

I don’t mind being the guinea pig

Anybody see the RS Propmaster video released today? The soft parts look pretty darn good to my inexperienced eyes, but a little worried about the collar on the flak vest is off. Thoughts?

there are several issues seen with the "new" costume ... these issues go for basic and lancer approval.

modding of the costume will be needed to get basic.

Thanks. I was interested in the flak vest, but the pics and the video make me nervous. I don’t know why but that part of the costume intimidates me. I’m sure between my wife and I we can totally pull of the bund and cod. But that vest I’m not so sure about.

Hopefully by the time the next IB run opens in Feb, we'll have some in-hand feedback and reviews of their materials.

I've gotten stuff from them before. It should ship around when the next run is happening, so yeah, about a month.

As no one has yet seen the latest imperial boots offerings, it seems unfair to be so outspoken about them at this point .

The latest RS video doesn't feature the latest soft parts as they haven't arrived from the suppliers yet as of  today ( 26 January 2019 )

i called in there this morning .

It was their choice to post those photos on their site and perfectly within our right to criticize them.   That's our job, to steer people in the right direction. IB and RS both hold themselves as being close to screen accurate.  As a Detachment we need to let makers know when that standard hasn't been met.

The fact that they immediately changed the cummerbund means they are listening to critique and willing to make adjustments.  What would have happened if we said nothing?

And finally, no prop -- be it armor or soft goods -- is 501st approvable off the shelf.  They need to be tailored to the particular wearer first.

We’ll see soon enough.

Vincent seems to be taking notes and applying them where possible.

Keep in mind there will always be production constraints, especially since not everyone has the exact same body type
