jwnikita
Hi again. Have any of you used a heat gun to shape your lens before installing it in your scout helmet? I was attempting to but it is taking FOREVER. Should I just use the installation clips that came in the SC kit?

It bends easily without heat and hot glue keeps it in place nicely https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002VECKRO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=
ScottF
I put mine in hot water and it bent great. just be careful not to leave it in there for more than a second or two at at time.
Chopper
As Mickey said, hot glue is your friend when adding the lens. Your fingers might get tired, but you should be able to hold the lens in place until the glue dries enough to hold it there. Should only be a minute-ish or so. Pro-tip -- if you only glue the top and sides of the lens, and leave a tiny vertical gap between the plastic and the lens, it'll let the hot air out and you won't get any fogging. It's also totally unnoticeable from the outside.
BikerScout007
I only glue the sides. The RS doesn't have enough clearance to glue the top. Still holds nicely
Nimble
I found a nice non stick pot that had the save curvature of the faceplate. Set the lens inside and heat away until it conforms to the curve of the pot. Let it cool then glue it in place. Ive done a lens for my lonewolf and ks helmets this way
