I just bought a scout trooper helmet and I would appreciate some tips and pointers as to how to put it together, as I am not much of a handyman

this is the helmet I got ^

Hey buddy!

That helmet was designed similar to the screen used helmets.   There are a few makers out there, RS Props in particular, that do their helmets that way as well.   So any thread on one of those should be useful to you.  Check out this one:

Should be a similar process!

Oof! That's CucBlack!

Well, hopefully you got FedEx shipping. :P

Also, follow BikerScout007's advice. The helmet will need to be assembled like an original one. So that means glueing, bonding, filling, sanding, more sanding, maybe more filling, some sanding, painting, cutting, screwing, fitting, glueing, painting, and final look overs.

Don't let that overwhelm you! :duim:

Hey mate...

yes...this build is really fiddly..but if you know how can you approach, then it's not so difficult....ok, for the 1st helmet maybe yes. If my current wip doesn't help, then you can see in our local Garrison puplic forum there  I have started a build with fully pics of the whole assembling--->>

....hope this helps.

But in the near future I want to start here in this Forum a new topic with the same pics....I think pics says more than 1000 words.

Cheers...

Another nice helmet. You can build it! Just following the threads and take your time. Time is the key.

I actually just got my helmet from Cucblack as well. His shipping was fine too. I’ve been building mine and it takes work, but it’s more time consuming than difficult. The trick is sanding and bondo. Paint will need to happen, but thankfully it’s not going to be near as bad as my FOTK kit was lol.
