curious for the boot made boots, is this a good cut pattern?

i looked at some Lancer approved boot cuts that are home made and they vary. What are you guys looking for in Lancer approval?

thanks.

Everything is done but my boots.

I think that's a great pattern!

We are basically looking for something that resembles the screen used, but we understand that the Sierra Sneakers boot cut is not the easiest thing to replicate in regular old hiking boots.

Also, check out @cheesewhoopy's boot tutorial:

I think your pattern is really good though!   I used a hot knife to cut my boots and it was like a knife through butter.  Good luck!

Ok. That helps. Of course I will have to paint this after to match the seams.

But this helps.

After a year of trooping, ready for Lancer status.

Again, I made my gear to Lancer status except the boots and TD.

I wanted to echo that your cut pattern looks dead on! BTW, if you don't have a hot knife, I found that it was helpful to alternate between standard x-acto blades for cutting the sides, and a chisel style x-acto blade when it's time to remove the entire piece.
