Walts Trooper Factory

Recommended Posts

I'm curious as to who has had dealings with them, and how it worked out for you. I'm asking, because I recently purchased a smaller belt from them that had some, what I consider to be, serious wrinkles and gaps in the front of the belt (see attached photos). I've been dealing with Matt Nelson, and he said that that particular section gets cut out (see attached), which will address the problem. I think I know how to do it, but I haven't seen this from other vendors, and I don't think this is something I should have to fix on my own. I want to know if I'm making a mountain out of a molehill here. Thanks!

Some vendors supply their parts fully (or mostly) trimmed. Others supply their parts with only a rough cut. Walt's armor tends to fall into the later category.

You can draw a top and bottom line in pencil that aligns with the horizontal edges of the boxes and make the cut using lexan scissors. Other folks use the score and snap methods. I prefer the control of scissors and then follow it up with emory board sanding to smooth the edges out.
