Hikuro1983
Looks like a Studio Creations kit I take it? At this point I’d almost would recommend a flat file to do some edge work on that visor, you can kind of still see the line definition on where to cut. or very gently with fine sand paper wrapped around a popsicle stick to keep it level. I did a lot of work on mine until I was pretty happy with the result. But you got a good result so far.
jwnikita
Yes it is a studio creations kit. I actually don’t think I did all that much sanding on the visor peace as I wanted to wait for feedback here so that would explain why the edges are still a bit rough. I will take some more time and work on that. I know also on the visor piece there is a second cut line I believe which my husband and I were not sure if we needed to trim to that point or not. Added photo to google album showing this line. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Chopper
Hi, looking at the Google account images, I'd say yes, that's a trim line on the visor. I recommend that you keep testing the visor fit against the helmet dome as you trim and take it slow. It's hard to add material back if you trim too much!
jwnikita
The soft goods arrived today from Steph’s Imperial Outfitters. I can now start fitting the armor pieces!https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1-3cuywOjv3AMfXDdb0t8aC_OB_uuuGrqSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
jwnikita
Test fitting the bicep and forearm pieces with the gloves. Is the placement about right’ should there be the overlap between the two pieces and the firearm overlapping the glove? I’ve seen varying placements for these pieces and the picture in the CRL seems to be very congested for lack of a better term. Is there some leeway based on the wearse?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Chopper
Shouldn't be an overlap, ideally, when your arms are resting at your sides. Move your forearm part down further, so that the parts where the elastic inserts are more or less against the glove. The bicep armor should fit just under the edge of the sleeve of the flak vest.
Frank75139
Your elbow should be free to bend with no armor on it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That’s what I was figuring, that I would need to move the fore arm pieces down a little bit. Easy fix. jwnikita
Now that the app has fixed whatever was giving me the error and not letting me upload photos directly, I can post more progress photos so here’s a photo dump. LOL Snout piece painted Flak vest, cummerbund and “diaper” made by Steph’s Imperial Outfitters EDIT: Realized that the closures on the vest and cummerbund are the reverse of what they should be ( should be right over left). Steph acknowledged the error and is going to fix it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Frank75139
It’s a good start. You’ll probably have to sand them to make them even which will also widen them a bit so you’ll be fine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Chopper
As Frank said, that's a decent start. I think you should go wider on the holes though -- use the screen used helmet photos as an example for what to aim for:

I think you should go wider on the holes though -- use the screen used helmet photos as an example for what to aim for: We used the decals that came with the kit as a template and I think we only traced the black part and not the white outline that is on the outside of it so we can adjust that now. Frank75139
I think the CRL for basic doesn’t say but I know higher levels are light to medium gray. If you can get it slightly greyer that would be nice, it still looks white in the pic. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
jwnikita
Couple update photos. Painted the tube a darker gray than it was. Thoughts?Hubby cut the ear holes. How did he do?Testing snout placement. Should the black be up the inside lip or is it ok as is?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Chopper
Much better on the ears. You just need to smooth it out with a dremel or nail file. Regarding the black on the nose, if you look at the first helmet image I posted earlier, it shows that the black goes onto the "flat lip" portion just a bit. Try to emulate that as best possible.

jwnikita
Painted the rectangle on the chest. Should the paint go up in the inside edges as well? (I know I have to clean up the edges a bit). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
