Hello.

Does anyone know of a rubber scout belt? I noticed my belt has several large cracks in them and nothing seems to fix them.

What armor kit are you using right now? SC? The joins between the belt boxes are a common failure point for most of the one-piece belts. I ended up reinforcing mine with extra ABS bonded with devcon plastic weld.

I don't know of anyone making urethane scout belts. If someone had the proper printer and filament, you might be able to 3D print a belt in something more elastic, but I couldn't say what end the result would look like.

Rubber would be the wrong material anyway.

My Strider belt got a crack in it and I just filled it in with bathroom caulk!  :D

It’s just the nature of the beast. The belt is the piece most prone to failure due to wear (moving with your stride) and taking it on and off. Another area prone to cracking is the chest armor tab where the strapping pulls through to tighten the front and back. Reinforcing those areas is a good start and you can “beef” up those areas by adding scrap plastic and gluing with Devcon or another strong glue/epoxy.

If it’s too far gone most armor vendors sell a la carte so you can sent them an email/pm and see what they can do for you.
