Looking very sharp! Congratulations on losing weight. Keeping up with exercise is a huge commitment and with a the holidays approaching, I know I’m gonna be struggling. 😂

Need suggestions....

for the boots, I’ve been workshopping the horizontal pieces. They have to be flexible enough for bending with the sole at the ball of your feet. So something rubber/silicone. Also has to be thin, like .6mm

 

Been playing with rubber bands and cutting strips silicone mats for kitchen use. Most rubber stripping has been too thick. 

 

What did you end up using, BTW?

Ended up using rubber bands. 

-pliable.  good for walking and bending at the toes

-good thickness and width

-adheres well with E6000

-cheap

 

turned out well

will repaint a lighter tan color

 

 

also, I’m using acrylic paint, so if I need to, can remove safely

It’s interesting when you look at those pics, the upper knee elastic and riveted holster were likely “screw it!” fixes from the prop department.

We're pretty sure it's not elastic but yeah, that's why the thigh straps are there!

Just picked up a Praetorian blaster.

Yeah let me know about that. I haven't tried cutting off the hex nut on mine, as I figured it used foam internals, like the old hyperfirm blasters. Wasn't sure what I'd find underneath if I chopped it off.

I’m having problems with photobucket.

Currently, working on getting rid of the logo. Their website isn’t taking any payments
