I don't have an exact pattern, but Mickey posted some detailed pictures here. Apologies if you're already seen the link.

I tested out any paper patterns I sketched by first by cutting them out of an old pair of jeans. That way I didn't waste the suede.

I read it, it just didn't help me so much in knowing the basic shape at all which was what I needed.

This is the pattern I use if that helps give you an idea.

And THAT is what I kind of wanted. Finding out the basic shape.

I knew there was a pattern referenced in an older thread -- check here for some additional pattern images:

I have been working on these patches forever. Finally came up with a pattern that works. This is what they look like. Measurements will probably be different for everyone depending on leg size. These are like 18.5” at the widest, and 17.5” tall at the tip. I’ve got larger legs so these work. Basically I had my wife help and she used an old fabric and we kind of traced it out while it was on me then traced that onto the suede and cut it then hemmed the edges. Next I need to find a seamstress to sew it. My wife thinks it’s above her level and doesn’t want to mess it up.

In the film, the suede patches were 4 separate pieces.   The pictures I posted here show how it was done:

I don’t know why I never thought to do 4 pieces. That would’ve saved me a lot of headache.
