Admittedly, I was hesitant to purchase a helmet that was shrouded in controversy; but, when the opportunity presented itself to pick one up for cheaper than the original price, I couldn't pass it up. With that being said, here goes my review. I arrived home from work today to see a large EFX box waiting for me. Nothing feels better after a long day than a big brown box greeting you on the front porch. I immeditaly got to work, carefully opening it up, putting the stand together, and snapping some photos. The front It's been noted before the jawline flares out a bit more than the originals, but I will say looking at this helmet in person it's not all that bad. It's only slightly more flared than RS. Definitely noticeable, but not that bad. The sides I saw in a lot of other reviews people complained about the face shield not closing all the way. As you can see here, it closes and aligns fairly well. The bottom sticks out about 1/4", which I believe is due to the lining on the face shield. A small part of me is tempted to rip it out and see, but I don't think I can bring myself to do it. The back I can't find anything to be upset with here. Having previously owned a Studio Creations helmet, the shape of the EFX is much more accurate. Underneath and Inside The top To me this is the only issue with the helmet. The gap is quite apparent, however it's only something that is visible looking at it from this angle. It's unfortunate they couldn't tighten that gap up but I have to say I'm not bothered by it. The helmet does have some weight to it and pulls forward a bit when on the head. This can pose issues when it comes to trooping , but I tested with some extra padding and it seemed to resolve the issue. All in all this is a beautiful helmet. Now, had I waited 4+ years for it would I be saying the same thing? Probably not. But having had the opportunity to pick it up for cheaper than a Lonewolf or RS, I jumped on it.
