n2b8
I broke a couple parts on my E-22 so I had to reprint those. Hopefully I'll get to restart the assembly on that in a couple days. My Sean Fields bucket is entirely printed now! Whoo! I have so much going on right now that hopefully the assembly of that wont have to wait too long. I was having some major issues printing the snout mesh part from the print files... I was racking my brain on how I was going to get this piece done. I was actually on the verge of buying a very expensive formlabs form 2 sla printer for this one piece (it was in my shopping cart). I happened to remember that I have a laser cutter! I re-modeled the part in Fusion 360 as the stl import just wasn't working right for some reason... Then I sent it over to the laser cutter and cut in out in MDF. Here it is, fitting perfectly into the 3d printed piece. I hope this part is accurate enough!

n2b8
Getting a little further on the blaster. (Had to reprint the main body as I wasn’t happy with the fit and I broke it trying to fix it)Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Dakota19250
I think I need to break down and buy a 3D printer. You are moving right along with that E-22, very nice.

n2b8
It’s a little tight against my nose but I think I can correct that with some strategically placed foam. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

n2b8
I’m thinking about getting my bucket to primer and selling it. I printed at 100% scale and my melon is feeling just a tad too big. Or maybe I’ll hold onto it until my boy grows a little more Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
n2b8
New, scaled up helmet is printed, just need to finish assembly (hopefully today). Still plenty of work to do on the E-22I grabbed wannabeuk’s corrected models and started working on the back. Got it scaled and sliced (4 parts + back boxes for a total of 6 parts). 30 hours in and roughly 18 to go. I think I may have to stick a bigger nozzle on here I’m headed out of the country next week for vacation so I’m trying to get as much done as I can over the next few days. n2b8
Guess who printed 3/4 of the backpack pieces before he realized he forgot to resize them. Yep that would be me. I reconfigured my parts and essentially split Joel Carter’s back files into 2 parts. A left and a right. I precariously rotated them to print upright as my two CR-10s printers aren’t quite big enough to print how they should be printed. Each would half would take about 60 hours to print so I sent them on their way while my wife and I left for Antigua for the week. I came home to one good print and one not so good print 🤦🏻♂️. The other half was on my second CR-10s printer which somehow managed to have one of its z axis motors unplugged. The printhead eventually shoved the part off the printer and from there it spent somewhere around 48 hours printing a big pile of spaghetti. Whoops! The replacement part is printing now so give me a few days to see how it comes out 🤞🏻. The back boxes came out quite well. Obviously everything still needs to be cleaned up but I’m pretty happy all things considered. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

KOtrooper
What is that blue filament you originally used in part of your e-22? Looks pretty. Good luck on the rest of your build! Having a 3D printer is fun! Except when it clogs.
